Kyle Rittenhouse

Jim, I'm going to summarize the argument that you made against Kyle Rittenhouse. I've considered similar lines of thinking, however I think they lack logic, justice, fairness, and consistency.

Kyle was in the wrong place at the wrong time. This is like an argument against going to the hill district or Wilkinsburg or Homewood. Just don't go to these neighborhoods. Don't go to the northside, don't drive on Perry Highway. you're stupid if you go there you deserve to get shot if you happen to go into a crime ridden neighborhood. This almost makes sense except for the fact that No ghetto should be fully off-limits to anyone. No one deserves to get shot because they happen to go on some gangs turf. And, we are not talking about a war zone, inner-city we're talking about Kenosha Wisconsin which is essentially a suburb.

Kyle should've recognized that this is a protest, riot, insurrection and avoid it altogether. Going to this area of Kenosha with a gun is tantamount to starting a war. The Causus Belli is provoking people by carrying firearms openly in a hostile area. This is like going into a federal courthouse with a weapon, you can't do that. This is like attacking a school. Except, he did none of those things. He has a right to carry a weapon under Wisconsin law and The way he approached police officers and the way he's been treated demonstrates that he is openly accepted the consequences of his actions.

Kyle should've known better than to shoot at criminals attacking him with skateboards, handguns, or burning down buildings. Plus It's not his responsibility to protect car dealerships. Look, He was protecting himself first and foremost. His person was threatened by rioters and criminals. if you look at their rap sheets it's clear that everyone he shot has a criminal Record. So walking in an area where people are protesting does not give anyone else the right to attack him and he maintains his right to self-defense.

I really think you need rethink your position of this.
